# PostgreSQL configuration file
# -----------------------------
#
# This file consists of lines of the form:
#
#   name = value
#
# (The "=" is optional.) Whitespace may be used. Comments are introduced with
# "#" anywhere on a line. The complete list of parameter names and allowed
# values can be found in the PostgreSQL documentation.
#
# The commented-out settings shown in this file represent the default values.
# Re-commenting a setting is NOT sufficient to revert it to the default value;
# you need to reload the server.
#
# This file is read on server startup and when the server receives a SIGHUP
# signal. If you edit the file on a running system, you have to SIGHUP the
# server for the changes to take effect, run "pg_ctl reload", or execute
# "SELECT pg_reload_conf()". Some parameters, which are marked below,
# require a server shutdown and restart to take effect.
#
# Any parameter can also be given as a command-line option to the server, e.g.,
# "postgres -c log_connections=on". Some parameters can be changed at run time
# with the "SET" SQL command.

pg_dump database_name > database_backup.bak

pg_dump: [archiver (db)] connection to database "database_name" failed: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
    Is the server running locally and accepting
    connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"?

$ pg_lsclusters

Ver Cluster Port Status Owner Data directory Log file
10 main 5432 down postgres /var/lib/postgresql/10/main /var/log/postgresql/postgresql-10-main.log

将访问权限更改为/var/lib/postgresql/10/main

$ sudo chmod 700 -R /var/lib/postgresql/10/main

$ sudo -i -u postgres
$ /usr/lib/postgresql/10/bin/pg_ctl restart -D /var/lib/postgresql/10/main

$ pg_lsclusters
Ver Cluster Port Status Owner Data directory Log file
10 main 5432 online postgres /var/lib/postgresql/10/main /var/log/postgresql/postgresql-10-main.log

您可以在 pg_lsclusters 的输出中看到这一点。

service start postgresql@15-clustername

/run/postgresql

#make a new group
sudo groupadd -r run_postgres

#add the users to the groups
sudo adduser postgres run_postgres
sudo adduser [your username] run_postgres

#apply the group to the folder where postgres wants to make the pid file
#-R is recursive so change group of files within... there will only be a handful v is verbose - it will list the files within
sudo chgrp -Rv run_postgres /run/postgresql

#/run/postgresql only had group read permissions so I needed to add write as well
# you can check this by doing `ls -l /run/ | grep postgres`
sudo chmod g+w /run/postgresql

sudo service postgresql@clustername stop
sudo service postgresql@clustername start

ls -l /run/postgresql
